Logically, if you are enlightened, that would necessarily include being beyond doubts

not because you have foreknowledge. but rather because you have the self knowledge to know that you are capable of anything.

And the only thing that undermines that ability to do anything. is the self doubt. so

there’s the formula. let go of doubt and find enlightenment.

and I just told you that for free. to anyone who reads your blog.

Pat, in the spirit of our friendship and how I play with my pals on Facebook.

I end with this thought:

true story and TESTIFY

The word, “enlightenment” eludes me.
We are told we must have it. People
are making fortunes off those who
seek it, though the idea of paying
for enlightenment seems contrary
to it idea. But how does one know
when he or she’s “got it!”? Does
this mean we will never get angry
or afraid again? Never do anything
“wrong?” Will we have visions, see
angels, hear voices, meditate all day?

If I am enlightened, will I never
again have doubts? I don’t know what
it means to be “enlightened” in spite
of the plethora of existing definitions.

Perhaps I already am enlightened for
I am of the Creator who made me…how
could I not be?

Dear Living Well Readers:

This is exactly what I have been trying to explain to my new roomie, Rhonda.

Because she keeps saying that I am lazy like her hubby, Lorne.

and the challenge of dealing with a straight couple, when you are a lesbian. is well.

I am kinda on Lorne’s side of this issue and not on Rhonda’s.

Ah, whacky hetersexuals and your socialized gender conventions.
that us queers so love to ape with our butch/femme and gym queen/nellies

Dear Source of Inspiration Readers and of course, my inspirational friend, Pat.

What I keep trying to explain to Rhonda is that it’s not lazy – it’s efficient.

You arrange your project in such a way as to maximize your leisure at every project stages.

Luckily, this takes more brain work than physical work or effort of will.

which most naturally, justifies the leisure time entirely.

LOL

not.just.saying.

I find myself making tasks out of play.
I never realized how “project oriented”
I am. I grew up in a culture that values
setting goals, meeting objectives, work,

I keep retiring and then creating
“projects.” I feel strong and young..and
guilty for “squandering” my days doing
things I love to do. Isn’t this absurd?

No more deadlines, objectives, projects.
It is okay to lie in the hammock, sit by the pond
in idle contentment, be “late,” lazy, happy and content.

Gotta’ keep telling myself this.
I seem to forget
from time to time:
Lazy is good.

This is completely true.

During my recovery process, I found unlearning schedules and rut routines one of the biggest challenges to let go off, because of the need in some aspects of daily living for their to be enough of a routine to make one comfortable and feel like you are contributing in some way to other people

while at the same time,

being able to receive from others too.

because then that becomes a zero sum or one sided relationship………..

let’s just say, when you fall off a pedastal whether it’s one you built yourself
or others put you on…..

it’s really a far way down.

sorry Pat. I think I changed thoughts midway and part of that was what I wanted to post on your blog

and the second part is what I wanted to post on mine, but I forgot to switch between blogs for the actual comment.

But you know, I have learned so much from your blog and http://labofevolution.wordpress.com/

that I know that I that I really need to do is close my eyes and just take a deep calming breath and just center myself in the moment that I am in.

and then everything just snaps into crystalline clarity and all is well with Nina and the universe.

what a great thought that is to have any time I want, and just by taking a breath.

something that every single person can do. no matter who or what or where they are.

I wonder how many other people have that sense of calm. and I feel sorry for people who are bothered by such things as guilt or worry or shame to the point that they can’t just enjoy a breath like I can.

Sometimes our lives take
detours we never expected.
Yet I am learning that these
“unplanned” excursions often
are a rich source of learning
as I am forced to experience
something I might not have
explored alone.

Once I threw away my itinerary
I became free to just let my
life evolve and to savor each
experience. Not easy, and I do
backslide. Yet living in the
now with a willingness to receive
offers a life rich in rewards.

Fried Green Tomato and Shrimp Remoulade Po Boy

Fried Green Tomato and Shrimp Remoulade Po Boy

After enjoying the fried green tomatoes with shrimp remoulade so much last week, I simply could not resist turning it into a po’ boy sandwich. (A po’ boy is a sandwich from Louisiana that is served in a baguette.) I already knew that the crispy and tangy fried green tomato and succulently spicy shrimp and tasty remoulade sauce was a winner and wrapping it up in a fresh baguette with its chewy outside and soft, melt in your mouth inside, could only make things better! I think that I have found my new favourite po’ boy; it’s too bad it is so late in the season. I will be looking forward to making them again next year!

Fried Green Tomato and Shrimp Remoulade Po Boy

(makes 4 sandwiches)
Printable Recipe

Ingredients:
1 pound shrimp (shelled and deviened)
1 tablespoon oil
1 tablespoon creole seasoning
1 baguette (cut into 4 sandwich sized lengths and sliced in half)
1 cup lettuce (shredded)
6 slices fried green tomatoes (about 2 tomatoes worth)
1/4 cup remoulade sauce

Directions:
1. Toss the shrimp in the oil and creole seasoning to coat.
2. Saute in a pan until cooked, about 2-3 minutes per side.
3. Assemble the sandwiches and enjoy!
