diversity is the spice of life
multi-culturalism is the way of the future
Unity is not conformity.
Diversity adds richness to life
and teaches us respect, reverence
for the tradition of others.
I do not wish to conform
with others but rather that
we unite our lives in harmony
with all.

stunning storm image
inspirational poem
How does we transmute
one aspect of energy into
another? We’re able to change
energy that drains us, or
overwhelms us into positive
outlets that help us grow.
To do this, we must first recognize
and acknowledge the energy, thank
it for its opportunity to learn.
Then takes these dark clouds and
shine the setting sun on them. Watch
as reds, golds, yellows tip the edges
and change the dark center to luminous
purples. Envision some lovely rays
slipping down to the Earth, and the
quiet chirping of a cricket nearby.
A glorious sunset in now yours to
behold, filling you with gratitude
and another day well lived.

following your bliss
is often looking inside
to find that stillness within
inner peace blissed
There is no where I’d rather be.
Contentment makes every place my home.
The stars shine everywhere.
There’s no where I’d rather be.
We do we search for what we already have?
There is no where I’d rather be.
Contentment makes every place my home.

knowing yourself
is the first steps
to self control
and that takes away the power
from other people
to upset us
or trigger our reactionstake back your power
find your centre
harmony
and balance to followtrue story
Each of us has trigger points
that, when touched, hook us into
old patterns of insecurity, fear,
anger and a need to escape. We
try blaming the person or situation
tripped these traps, but ultimately,
it is we who react…the same issue
could be easily ignored by others.
When you feel discomfort, anger, restlessness,
bored, look for a trigger point. It is not
necessary to under why this triggers you.
The important thing to do is to observe it,
“Oh, there is that feeling of judgment (anger,
jealousy,fear, etc.) again. Interesting how
it crops up from time to time.” Do not condemn
yourself, simply observe and do not act on your
feeling. Let it rise and float away like a soap
bubble. We have the power to choose to act or
not. When we consistently practice observing
rather than reacting to our trigger points,
they lose their power over us.

Red Hat Society rules!
When I was a little girl,
there was a long list of all
the things “nice girls” could
and could not do. There was
another list of what “Ladies”
should and should not do. Do
you know that ladies do not
sweat; they “glow.”
If there is a list for crones,
I have not been presented with it
yet. So after a lifetime of rebelling
against and conforming to the demands
of others, I’m thinking of buying a
big red hat. This hat must be elaborate,
outrageous, non-conforming. I’m
going to wear it as a reminder to
avoid “shoulds.” Know where I can
get a big red hat? There are lots
of people who need one.
