what matters is that during our lives we loved
for that is for us to enjoy during our liveswhat matters is what we do for others during said life
for that lasts after we do
for better or for worseit’s less important the genes that you pass along, for there is less than 1% genetic difference between any 2 people – of the 104 billion estimated that have lived and the 7 billion plus currently alive
it’s the memes that matter – how we impact others and how that impact ripples into the world
what we do is not diminishing ripples, but ripples on a global and potentially cosmic scale….
A thousand years from now,
does it matter that someone
hurt your feelings?
Five hundred years from now
does it matter if you lost
your temper, have a fat belly,
didn’t get the promotion you wanted?
A hundred years from now,
does it matter that we
cut down the floresta,
polluted our waters and air?
Today, does it matter that our
wars are endless, children are
hungry, we can not safely
walk our streets day or night?
Does it matter that our priorities
are skewered, selfish and absurd?
What does really matter
now and forever more?
