Living Well

Posted on: November 22, 2012

You know

I wrote this back in the late 1980s

but reading it now

it seems fitting to describe

how banal and every day things

change with perspective

of sitation

or post events.

Confessions of a teenaged poet

Thunder and lightening
Streak across the mind
Peanut Butter and jam
Roll across the tongue

Thunder and lightening
Makes hearts beat sharper
Alcohol and drugs
Makes brains think looser

Thunder and lightening
Causes animals to cower
Loving and caring
causes things to grow

Thunder and lightening
Screech loud and bright
Breezes and showers
Whisper soft and gentle

Thunder and Lightening
Forces of destruction
Mankind and technology
Forces of deathtruction
