Living Well

I think it’s okay to enjoy your own altruistic acts

that’s how giving is the gift
that goes on giving

people often set the bar to be unachievable

and that is what ensures false sense of unworthiness
creating a sense of falling short somehow.

Doing something at the expense of yourself
is not altruism

it’s martyrdom

and there’s been enough of that already in the world

Source of Inspiration

True love is the ability
to give to another with no
expectation or need for them
to reciprocate. Indeed, they
might not even know that you
are source of their pleasure.

How is this possible when the
very act of giving can give one
pleasure? Are great acts of
altruism simply self-gratification?

When we seek the answer to such
questions, our very state of
pondering draws the Light to us.
Little by little, God’s glory
is revealed to us as we are able
to receive this understanding.
