Living Well

yes, when you have nothing left to give

you do extinguish in many substantial ways

the hardest part then becomes being willing to receive

Source of Inspiration

Pleasure seekers, are we
savoring the buffet of life,
sampling all, returning for
more, satisfied only a short
while before we seek again?

Which gives more pleasure,
receiving or giving? If I
give everything away and
become empty, will I rid
myself of the constant
desire for more? What happens
when I have nothing else to give?
Will I become an extinguished shadow?

Round and round I go, piling
questions upon questions until
finally I stop and look carefully
at my intention. What is my
ultimate desire? It is this
intention that is my core, that
to which I must return each time.
Know your intention and you will know
who you are and why you exist.
