Living Well

Posted on: August 24, 2012

I think the worst thing we tell outselves is that anything or anyone has to be perfect

we ruin what we anticipate with expectations that are unreasonable

setting ourselves up for disappointments and worse, setting up who we love to be the source of it, when it was really us all along

as the great bard wrote

love does not alter, when it alteration finds

and it’s the imperfections and even, the annoying traits
that we miss the most, when the person is no longer with us

Source of Inspiration

I discovered that wild guavas
only have worms when I am
wearing my glasses. Sometimes
looking too closely is not wise.
Or else, we must just accept that
what we love may not be perfect.
